"Leading the Market: A Look at Energy Efficiency in a Constantly Evolving Market"

Why: Please join us for an information packed event that will be focused on the past, present and future of energy efficiency in the Northwest. Charlie Grist will be on hand to share an overview of the history of energy efficiency in the Northwest, before shifting the discussion to the current state of the Northwest power system and the factors influencing electrical use. Charlie will end his portion of the program with an overview of the seventh plan and a facilitated discussion among attendees on Commercial energy efficiency. Jeff Harris will be in attendance to share work that is being done by the Northwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (NEEA) to transform markets in order to meet the targets set forth by the seventh plan and produce energy savings for the region. Next, Larry Blaufus will share a utility perspective on energy efficiency. Larry will talk about the importance of energy efficiency to utilities and how Clark Public Utilities uses energy efficiency in their integrated resources plan to keep rates stable and reliability high. The session will conclude with the APEM business meeting, and the announcement of the winner of the 2016 Energy Manager of the Year Award.
